French East Indies Company Native Hussars

One of the more exotic units in the French forces during the 1760s was the native cavalry unit serving as "hussars."

As is usual with the irregular cavalry units of this time, information on the uniforms is scarce. However, they seem to have worn long flowing red coats and baggy trousers.

Figures are from Perry Miniatures, painted by Peter, based by me.
